Guidelines on Media Materials

A college that is recruiting you may provide only the following materials at any time:

1. A questionnaire

2. Athletic camp brochure

3. Educational information published by the NCAA

A college that is recruiting you may provide only the following materials on or after September 1st of your junior year:

1. Official academic admissions and student services publications

2. General correspondence including letters and college note cards (Black & White only)

3. Game programs (Only on an official or unofficial visit)

4. Media guide or recruiting brochure

5. Pre-enrollment information about orientation, conditioning, academics, practice activities (Only upon signing a National Letter of Intent)

6. One wallet size playing schedule

7. One Student-athlete handbook (Official or Unofficial visit only or after signing)

8. A college may show you a highlight film / videotape, but may not send it to you or leave it with you

NCAA coaches and their staffs are permitted to telephone prospects according to the guidelines listed below. There can be no phone calls from boosters, alumni, or representatives of a college's athletic interests.

Division I

Division II

Football
One during the month of May during the prospect's junior year then not again until Sept 1 and only once a week. On or after June 15 after the prospect's junior year.

Men's Basketball
One call per month on or after June 15 of the prospect's sophomore year until July 31 after their junior year. Two calls a week beginning Aug 1 prior to their senior year. On or after June 15 after the prospect's junior year.

Women's Basketball
One call in April and May of the prospects Junior year. One call on or after June 1 and June 20 and one on or after June 21 to June 30. Three calls in July with no more than one a week. There after one call a week. On or after June 15 after the prospect's junior year.

All Other Sports
Once during the month of May of the prospect's junior year then not again until July 1 after their junior year On or after June 15 after the prospect's junior year.
